Since 2007, George Paul has held the esteemed position of Aboriginal Cultural Presenter at the Metepenagiag Heritage Park. From 1988 to 1991, he served as Director/Manager with the Native Council of PEI.. As a Singer/Songwriter and Solo artist, George's artistic journey has unfolded over the years, with a notable moment in 2001 when he performed the Gala showcase for the ECMAs. In 2017, he took on the role of a Traditional Elder guide, guest, and performer in the Etlitoq artsnb Indigenous music workshop. 2019 marked another milestone as George participated in the Indigenous Film Slam: Take 3, portraying the role of an Elder in the impactful "Find Your Way" music video—a project funded by PETL & artsnb. His diverse experiences reflect his steadfast commitment to preserving and showcasing the beauty of indigenous culture across various artistic realms.

- 1997: artsnb Creation grant awarded to create “Red Ochre” under classical music to create traditional and contemporary Micmac music.
- 2001: East Coast Music Award for “Aboriginal Artist/Group of the Year 2001”
- 2001: The Secretary of State grant awarded by the Native Council of P.E.I. to create "Traditional Mi’kmaq Chants" album for Education, to be a teaching tool.
- 2004: artsnb Creation grant awarded to create “Ancient Sounds Emerging” under classical music.
